Mercury Series

I've had it for a while now and I'm actually satisfied, what bothers me is that the sieve doesn't pick up the small fecal pellets, it should be a finer sieve, but otherwise top 👍🏼

I am really MEGA disappointed with the Mercury series product!

1. Odor neutralization does not last two days. Their litter, which maybe works for 3-4 days, is very expensive and has not been available for weeks. The NEW one is supposed to be better. I'm really curious! Where is the service when the items are often not available for several weeks? We actually already pay for this with such prices.

2. With two cats under 6KG. Weight, it lasts maybe two to a maximum of three days. The cleaning effort is worse than with any cheaper toilet under 30€ with an activated carbon pad. Natural cat litter like Cats Best doesn't work at all with it. Tofu litter from Fukumaro and Tigerino Zeolith Performance Control in a 50/50 mix works quite well. But with additional Bio Kats Deo Pearls, this overpriced AstroPet Mercury Series cat toilet stays conditionally fresh. So maybe about 2-3 days! I expected at least a week. The deodorant gel in the collection container helps very little! Unfortunately

3. Acquisition costs (at least about 400-450€) compared to a 28€ corner toilet with activated carbon pad are not worthwhile. Fukumaro and Cats Best litter can be disposed of in the toilet and the corner toilet also takes up less space than the Mercury Series from AstroPet and lasts almost a week without smells with two cats and significantly lower costs and is also more environmentally friendly (topic of sustainability and additional waste through plastic bags for the collection container). With the Mercury Series, the bags have to be disposed of in the trash (at least 2x a week) because the mixed litter cannot be disposed of in the toilet! Only bentonite litter or only tofu litter alone work even worse. According to the motto, the mix makes it somewhat okay. Also, the litter from AstroPet is a mixed litter and must not be disposed of in the toilet. WELL 🤔

4. For some days now, I've been a bit annoyed with AstroPet's customer service because you always have to send videos. For the second time now, a urine puddle has formed under the toilet... Of course, I clean it because it stinks. I am very disappointed with a 400€ cat toilet that only makes everyday life easier for maybe a maximum of 2-3 days and then it's over. The cleaning effort with removing the lid and drum, including disinfecting and rinsing, is more laborious than with a standard toilet under 30€. The odor neutralization with its own gel for additional costs leaves much to be desired and is too expensive for this poor result. Although better than in the half-price Chinese variant, it also does not really bring a better result, as the scent (freshener) can hardly spread in the collection container.

Conclusion: I advise against buying. A total disaster after a good three months of testing, also regarding various litters. Very SAD. I really thought it was an innovative cat litter box 😔 Unfortunately, in my opinion, it is definitely not worth the money. The customer service improved afterwards, but only after a complaint from me. At least I am getting a replacement now. I expect that too. If I just got a bad or non-functioning product, my rating will improve somewhat. But these are my current experiences, so only 2* - 3*. I definitely expected much more...

Let's see if AstroPet can still convince me. At least the app works so far. A notification of how full the collection container is would be a significant improvement ;) just a tip...

I was really skeptical at first 🤨
But after the first week I was absolutely thrilled. The design is simple, modern, and somehow also funny because it looks like a washing machine. It is used by two large tomcats, and I was initially a bit afraid that it might be too small.. but it seems to fit them. One of the tomcats was a bit scared the first few days and didn't really want to go in on his own, but well-timed guidance with treats let his fear and doubts vanish after a few days, and he thankfully now uses the toilet 😮‍💨 What I also find very, very, very great is that I can actually detect no smell in the apartment. Nothing comes out through the collection container, and with two tomcats, I only have to empty it every 5-6 days. I used to have the problem that one of my tomcats was very sensitive, and as soon as the toilet was used once, he would always go next to it because I couldn't keep up with the cleaning - but since then, it hasn't happened again because it is cleaned immediately after use, even when I'm at work. So absolutely great!!!
A few things I don't quite celebrate:
Introducing litter is unfortunately a bit difficult (depending on the packaging), so I might try new litter over time, which can be filled in better. And what I also find very unfortunate is that you can't create a pet profile in the app, so I can assign a cat's weight and better assess the progress.
Please Please Please add this to the app. I believe this would make a multi-cat household even happier ♥️

So in conclusion: it keeps what it promises. Now I just hope that it is also durable, then I will be absolutely happy for the price 👍 I can only recommend it.

Does what it should, it's just a shame that it doesn't make a sound when the container is full.
And it's a bit difficult to fill the litter
